The slow rush

The Slow Rush.jpg

One needs to be seen. It’s not always easy though, as some days, the topic for the post comes easy while on other days, I’m wracking my brain trying to figure it out. But in this, I find a reason to smile every day.

As the program came to an end this week, I was worried about what to do next. I’ll keep going with the Instagram posts. I asked the group for suggestions about what to do with my work. I wanted to see if I could get my work published. That’s when one of my fellow MTDT er’s suggested that I look up Bull City Press. I found out that they ask for submissions once a year for their literary journal, Inch. I went looking through my pieces to find a dozen of them and transferred them to a Word document. As I needed to have it in before May 15th, I needed to get moving. I included a draft of the work at the end of this post. As I clicked Submit, I felt a smile on my face. Even if it doesn’t go anywhere, the fact that I did this is an important step.

After all, we all have to start somewhere.
